Zoe

A gifted pet portrait of a family favourite pooch.

Zoe was a beautiful-natured Shih Tzu cross Silky dog who was a companion for her owner who suffers from chronic illnesses.

Zoe loved squeaky toys and walks.

Her sudden death was heartbreaking for many who knew this pooch.

This artwork was created with Prismacolour pencils on Pastelmat. Size is A2

Darcy the Dashhound.

A commission piece for Rockhampton barrister Jordan Ahlstrand. Materials include pan pastels and coloured pencils on Pastelmat. Size is about A5.

Bubbles.

Bubbles belonged to a family member and I had taken the reference photo while visiting with the family member.

I created this piece as I experimented with materials such as Derwent's Inktense and Prismacolour coloured pencils to see if this would lead to a good way to paint pet portraits of animals with light coloured fur/feathers/etc.

Commission.

This headshot is from a commission job were I was asked to put two dogs in the same piece from photographs supplied by the client. Something I had not done before. The arworks was Prismacolour pencils on A3 paper. I can't recall the exact type of paper I used for this - Bristolboard or other.
